Watching cellular IMs

Researchers at USCD and UC Irvine have developed a way to watch human cells send messages to each other--Human cells filmed instantly messaging for first time.  Understanding cellular communication is a great step for many fields of research.  Of course one has to wonder, do cells use emoticons? ;-).
